Detailed Itinerary   Top of Page

Day 1-Seattle-Vancouver, BC-Rail Canada

Our mountain holiday begins as we head north of the border by deluxe motorcoach to the VIA Rail Station in Vancouver BC. Sit back and relax as your Tour Director shows you the sights along the way. First class treatment awaits as our Service Manager welcomes you aboard the VIA train, where you'll enjoy a delicious dinner. After settling in, our group will gather in the Glass Dome Car to watch the sparkling Vancouver skyline as we journey north. Nothing could be finer! (D on train)

Day 2-Canadian Rockies-Jasper, Alberta-Chateau Lake Louise

Good Morning! Awaken to freshly brewed coffee and the morning paper. When you look out the window, you will see the rolling hills surrounding the ranching community of Kamloops, BC. A hearty breakfast awaits onboard. The winter scenery is incredible as we wind our way along the shores of the mighty ice choked Thompson River and past Mt. Robson, the tallest peak in the Canadian Rockies. In the mid-morning, we will arrive in the snowy little mountain town of Jasper, Alberta. All aboard our motorcoach as we sightsee on the way to Lake Louise, our home away from home for the next 2 nights. (B, L)

You'll be awed by the majestic peaks and other incredible winter scenery surrounding Chateau Lake Louise.

Day 3-Lake Louise-International Ice Festival

This morning after breakfast (own your own) you may wish to enjoy the International Ice Festival. There you will immerse yourselves in the coolest (literally) celebration in Canada, the International Ice Festival. See 20 teams battle the ice as they have 53 hours to create ice masterpieces, which will last until April. Enjoy the festivities and watching these masters at work. Be sure to vote for your favorite ice sculpture and watch the judging that takes place in the afternoon.

Day 4-Chateau Lake Louise-Banff

After breakfast (on your own), take time for last minute shopping and a last look at the ice sculpting and Victoria Glacier before boarding our motorcoach bound for The Banff Springs Hotel. Enjoy the wonderful amenities of this beautiful hotel.

Day 5-Banff-Jasper, Alberta-VIA Rail

This morning, enjoy breakfast on your own. Before we depart for Jasper, you may wish to take one last dip in Willow Stream Spa or just take in the beautiful scenery. (D on train)

Day 6-Vancouver, BC-Seattle
